3.3. Daily BW Gain and the Feed Conversion Efficiency (Exp. 1)
The growth performance of the goats used in Exp. 1 is presented in Table 3. There were no differences in the initial BWs
among the different groups, but the final BWs tended to be higher with the increased dietary level of soya waste. Although the final BW of the animals in Groups A and B was not significantly (P > 0.05) different, the final BW in Group C was higher(P < 0.05) than that in Group A. The average daily BW gain tended to be higher with the increased dietary level of soya waste.It also differed significantly (P < 0.05) among the treatment groups, with the BW gain highest in Group C, followed by Groups B and A. The feed conversion efficiency of Groups B and C (8.54 and 7.03, respectively) was significantly (P < 0.05) superior compared to that of Group A (16.07).
