There are some limitations during this term project processing including time conflicts, interviewee limitations, and language difference within the group. The time conflicts occurred when interviewing date was scheduled that some members could not attend because they had classes so some group members did not get a chance to inquire about their parts in the project, and it may affect their outputs in the report. Secondly, interviewee limitations came across when some questions were asked because the interviewee had limited access to some parts of company information including foreign suppliers, transportation and logistics activities, which she implied that her boss took care of foreign suppliers by himself and she did not know how efficient the transportation and logistics of the company were because she did not deal with those department directly. Lastly, it is the language differences within the group which majority of our group, 3 out of 5, are international students that the interviewee’s answers have to be translated into English for all the group members to understand. The translation of interviewee’s answers may be incorrect and not completed; hence, the incorrect work may pass on to other group members.
During the group forming, teacher should recommend students to form a group with the same nationality so that the translation of interviewee’s answers is not needed. Moreover, there should be some recommended companies for the term project that purchasing manager has all the necessary information for the term project, and this will be set as a standard to all the groups, which will leave the quality of the term project to students’ efforts.
