2. One solution to the supplies problem is to have your own supply store. Often, near the end of summer, discount and other stores will have school supplies on sale for very low prices. This is a good time for you to stock up on pencils, erasers, folders, loose-leaf paper, and notebooks. You can post a list of supplies and prices in your classroom and have your store open at certaintimes. Tell your students they can purchase supplies or borrow from other students if they do not have needed materials- these are their two choices. Consider allowing students to earn points toward buying the necessary supplies by doing jobs for the teacher.
