found that T. atroviride C-chitinase
genes are readily inducible in mycoparasitism assays with
Botrytis cinerea and correspondingly they were also
expressed during growth on B. cinerea cell walls. Interestingly,
we could also detect transcripts for C-chitinase
genes in our T. gamsii isolates during interactions with F.
graminearum and F. culmorum, confirming a potential role
in mycoparasitism.
