3.5.1. Separation of palmitic/(oleic + linoleic) acids from PFAD mixtures The separation of palmitic/(oleic + linoleic) acids from palm fatty acid distillate mixtures in countercurrent columns using supercritical carbon dioxide as the solvent is analyzed for the extraction experiment No. 16 carried out at P = 29 MPa, T = 373K, F = 106 g/h, D = 36 g/h, L1 = 69 g/h, R = 102 g/h and CO2 = 5 kg/h. The results show that palmitic acid was enriched from a initial content in the multi-component feed mixture (palm fatty acids distillates) of 52.51–74.39 wt.% in the extract, while oleic and linoleic acids were enriched from a initial content in the feed mixture of 46.27–59.00 wt.% in the raffinate, and squalene was enriched from a initial content in palm fatty acids distillates of 0.62–1.22 wt.% in the extract.
