Xerophytic, extremely xerophytic and salt-tolerant desert species are also widely distributed in this region. From the
distribution patterns, it is clear that mesophytes and hygrophytes, including arbours, bushes and herbs, growing
in the Ejina River banks and the fluvial plain, including P. euphratica, Elaeagnus angustifolia, T. ramosissima,
Phragmites communis, Achnatherum splendens, S. alopecuroides and Glycyrrhiza uralensis are the dominant
species of these groups in the region.
