The GC was equipped with a CP-88 fused sili cacapillary column (100m,0.25mmi.d.,
filmthickness0.25lm). The temperatures of injector and detector ports were set at 280 and 300 C,respectively. Initially,the column temperature was held at 160 C for 5 min and then was increased at a rate of 2 C/min to180 C. The temperature of column was heldat 180 C for 5 min and then ramped (2 1C/min) to190 C. The fatty acid peaks were identified by comparison of their reten tiontimes with those of pure FA methyl ester standards (FAMEChemicalStandards, Sigma-Aldrich, Supelco 37 component FAME Mix 1ml,Catalogue No 47885-U ) that were injected at the same
temperature and conditions. Erucicacid (22:1) was used as a qualitative internal standard.
