The results of the spherulite size and the crystallinity with different quantities of nucleating agents, according to polar microscopy, are shown in Fig.1. With an increasing filled quantity of nucleating agent,decreased and progressively tended towards
stabilization, whilst the crystallinity still increased and the rise gradient also went up. The crystal boundarybecame more and more ambiguous, and the irregular
degree of crystal grain increased.
A mixture of effective nucleating agents changed the
crystalline behavior. With an increase in filled quantity,
the crystallization temperature improved. Effective nucleating
agents not only speeded up PP crystallization
under higher temperatures and crystallization velocity,
but also made the spherulite size decrease and the
crystallinity increase, because of the rate of spherocrystal
growth is slower at higher crystallization temperatures,
where more molecular chain segments can easily
form a perfect crystallization
