The DNA G+C content of strain THG-SQA8T was
40.7 mol%, which conforms to the expected range of DNA
G+C contents for the genus Sphingobacterium (Lee et al.,
2013). The genomic DNA similarities were recorded as
mean¡SD values. Strain THG-SQA8T showed 35.2¡0.9 %
and 8.8¡0.3 % DNA–DNA relatedness with S. multivorum
KACC 14105T and S. ginsenosidimutans KACC 14526T,
respectively. These very low DNA relatedness values suggest
that THG-SQA8T is a representative of a novel species of the
genus Sphingobacterium (Stackebrandt & Goebel, 1994).
