the stoichiometric amounts of the corresponding doped BFO and BTO were weighed and mixed well
using an agate mortor by grinding thoroughly for 2 h so as to obtain a
homogeneous mixture. Acetone was added to the mixture during
mixing for enhancing the interfacial cohesion and uniform mixing.
The final powder was calcined at 80 0 1C for 4 h. In order to prepare
the pellets, a known quantity of poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) was added
to the composite powder and ground well to disperse the PVA
throughout the sample. Subsequently, the powder was pelletized
using a hydraulic pelletizer with applied weight of 6 t and sintered
at 600 1C for 3 h. These pellets were used for the measurement of
magnetoelectric effect of all the samples.
