3.4. Influence of the characteristics of semi-char on the gasification
reactivity
Atomic ratios of O/C and H/C of different chars are shown in
Table 1. It can be seen that the O/C and H/C mole ratios of lowtemperature
chars were higher than those of high-temperature
char. It is known that relatively high O/C and H/C mole ratios of
the sample are witnesses to a less graphitic structure and high
gasification reactivities (Wang et al., 2015). Therefore, it can be
inferred that the structure of 600 C char is the most graphitic,
and the detailed order of gasification reactivities for these four
chars should be ranked as 300 C char > 400 C char > 500 C
char > 600 C char. However, other factors of gasification reactivities
such as ash content and proximate analyses, should be comprehensively
considered. Thus, the carbonaceous structure can be
regarded as an important factor in evaluating the gasification reactivities
of different chars.
