His Majesty the King usually writes notes with a pencil. He uses only one pencil per month until it can no longer be used.
The King presided over graduation ceramonies at educational institutes nationwide since 1950. It is estimated that he has given graduation certificates by hand to more than 400,000 graduates and postgraduates in Thailand.
