Staff departments are in the locker room . . . under the stands. In the locker room they get ready to play the game. This is where they “suit up,” get their equipment and ready their game plan. But if they want to score points, they have to leave the comfort and safety of the locker room and go onto the playing field. Once there, they see how the game is played and how the score is kept. In the Playing Field diagram (see Figure 1), we see that the players are members of the various line and staff functions.
