Aronson (2001) was one of the first researchers
who studied ethical perspectives and leadership
styles together (Acar et al., 2012; Zhu et al., 2004).
Additionally, Brown et al. (2005) were among first
researchers to empirically study ethical leadership.
According to Brown et al. (2005: 120), ethical leadership
is “the demonstration of normatively appropriate
conduct through personal actions and interpersonal
relationships, and the promotion of such conduct to
followers through two-way communication, reinforcement,
and decision-making”.
