we have stayed at this resort at least 10 times over the years, and we do keep coming back because of the nice location and ambience.
i have in the past given highest rating considering the fact that it indeed is great value for money and the ambience and location is good.
however, factoring in the very indifferent service levels - its borderline rude - over all departments stretching from checkin to restaurants, i cannot by give it average rating.
This resort thrives on a good location and good basic accommodation which is good value for money. however, the owners could do real well paying some attention to staff satisfaction / staff training as the guest experience would be enhanced big time by even a basic service level with some friendliness. the concept of "going the extra mile"' simply does not exist at this place, and we long back gave up trying to ask for anything not in their manual.
also factoring in the fact that this resort is plagued by loud disco music from the nearby silver sand resort which plays up to 3 a.m. in the morning. this is no fault of samed villa resort and I am sure they would be as concerned about this as any agitated guest. however the fact is that if you want peace and quiet this element brings down the overall experience tremendously. If you come for a quiet beach experience it is definitely an annoyance factor to be kept awake until late night by loud rave music. Just scroll down and check other TA reviewers pointing out the same thing - and you will see it is not a subjective idea / I am overly sensitive.
best value for money is staying in the sea viewing villas, but avoid villas A1-A3 as they overlook the bar / restaurant and no privacy.
