Visa Application and Verification Procedures of the Royal Thai Embassy
General Rules :
All Applicants must be physically present in Iran while applying for a Thai visa (immigration stamps).
Applicants need a minimum of 3 working days for visa pick-up, excluding Embassy's public holidays (Fridays and Saturdays).
Applicants are invited to verify and check the Embassy's holidays before making any travelling arrangement.
Applicants with foreign nationality shall have residency in Iran.
All applicants should be available for interview if called for.
Applicants previously travelled to Thailand with passports stamped "overstay" ,or having paid fines to the Police Immigration Office of overstay, shall be subject to scrutiny and shall be called
for an interview.
Applicants of Afghanistan nationality shall have invitation letter and/or letter from legal entity in Thailand that can be verifiable or an official letter from Afghan government or an
international organization guaranteeing their legal status. All applicants of Afghan nationals shall wait for the decision of visa granting which will be decided by the Thai Administration in Bangkok.
Fees paid are not reimbursable in all cases (Please See this "Link" for fee levied).
Travel agents shall apply only for Iranian citizens and only for Tourist visas, all other types of visas must be applied by individuals.
All applicants shall fill in application forms with complete and compulsory details such as hotel reservation, guest houses, particularly with verifiable addresses of stay, length of stay in Thailand, reservation of air tickets. They shall provide all local home's and office's addresses, telephones, faxes and all locality in Iran.
Travel agents shall comply with the Embassy's request to complete the above-mentioned details for their clients, Travel agents' lack of consideration shall be held responsible and may no longer
be eligible to apply for visas.
Passports :
Passports must be valid for more than 6 months at the time of visa application.
Passports shall be in good condition without torn pages, all pages are in the passport and all visas are affixed correctly.
There is at least 1 blank page to affix the Thai visa.
If passport bears the date 29 February (issue date/expiry date and date of birth), it should be checked whether the date is in the leap year.
Please consult the Royal Thai Embassy if there is any unusual stamp or suspicious remark/writing in the passports made by a Thai authority.
If there is any deportation stamp on Iranian passports, please consult the Royal Thai Embassy immediately.
Please keep passports in good and with acceptable condition, clear of ,dirt, marks, smears and untampered with.
Application Forms :
one photograph in color (2-inches size) must be attached to the application form
Photocopies of Iranian ID card, passport, /Ticket/Itinerary/Reservation must be attached to the application forms.
Applicant MUST sign the application forms by him/herself
Application forms must be completed with full details, in capital letters and legible.
