To this end, KTIS has invested around THB200 to
THB300 million (around $6 million to $9 million) in an
integrated drive system developed by OEM Allied-Tek
and powered by Siemens IDS technology to improve its
asset utilization, reduce operating costs, further enhance
sustainability, and increase its turnover.
“Our engineering team is very confident in choosing
the IDS solution from Allied-Tek and Siemens because
of the trustworthiness of the brand and the quality of the
machines and services,” said Parphan.
Based in Thailand, Allied-Tek is an engineering firm
specialized in cane sugar milling plants, block rubber
plants, and wear parts for heavy industries. For this
particular project, Allied-Tek installed its Cane Mill CM 5303-HF—a six-roller type mill—at Kaset Thai’s Mill No.6, the
last set in the mill train. The system is driven by two sets of separate
drives at the mill and pressure feeder.
