Shinawatra University has positioned itself as one of the international hubs for the young generation to learn and acquire expertise that will bring excellence to our region. As of now, the university consists of students and faculty from over 30 nationalities. These diversities have greatly contributed to reciprocity of ideas and experiences within the student community; the positive learning atmosphere that creates qualified talent resource. Our alumni have proven track records of success. For instance, one of our graduates from School of Management received over 15 million baht funding for his contribution in innovating iOS mobile games. Another from the same faculty has become an affluent entrepreneur who owns a trademark company and a financial transaction firm in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Last but not least, one of our students who earned a bachelor’s degree in Management Technology was recently selected by Telenor Group to attend the Nobel Peace Prize Awarding Ceremony 2014 in Oslo, Norway.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
As I have worked in the field of education for more than a decade, I have seen the challenge for universities to cope with the rapid transformation of the real-world businesses and industries. For the young generation to prosper, Shinawatra University always gives special value to provide students with “ability to learn how to learn”; or the ability to adapt and appropriate new knowledge to create job and life satisfaction in long run. For Shinawatra University, talent means the power to pursue lifelong learning and to cope with continuous change of the global knowledge economy. For our region to continue to flourish, the young generation of Asia must earn not only insight, but also foresight. And, these are the aspirations of Shinawatra University.
