Weaknesses: Even if you are a dogmatic determinist, you cannot act except under the assumption of free will. Try it. You'll find yourself asking - should I do this or that. Why bother if you don't have a choice? For that matter, choice seems to be built into our moral philosophy - how could you possibly punish somebody or think they're a bad person for something they didn't choose to do. Of course, determinists will try to develop an interpretation of our everyday moral thought (and other thought) that reconciles it with determinism, but I still think it's very hard to take the thesis of determinism at face value.
