Frequency of service
‘‘Frequency of service’’ describes the number of shipments available per week
for each individual transport solution. As frequency is closely related to the flexibility
of transport, the Be- Logic KPI definition shall be equally considered. This
is a composite indicator involving the following: (a) Ability to adapt to changes in
demand/volume (scale 1–5) (b) ability to adapt to changes in size/special cargo
(scale 1–5) (c) Ability to adapt to changes in time table (time needed to return to
normal conditions/response time) (d) Robustness: ability to cope with serious
disruptions such as cancellations or strikes (scale 1–5) (e) Availability: possibility
of custom-made departure times (yes/no), and (f) Availability of fixed time tables
(number of departures per week).
