Participants felt it was important for subjects within the TNEP to contribute to professional development for nursing in HK, plus being able to tailor subjects from a socio-cultural context was valued. One subject, “Management in Nursing,” for example, was written to enable a critical examination of the attributes for leadership in HK. There was a sense that both students and their workplaces appreciated subject content and assessments being tailored to the realities of nursing practice in HK. Participants found that students were more motivated to engage with the subject materials when they could see the relevance between an assessment and their everyday practice.
