In Experiment 1, the temperature of SW was about 2 °C lower than
that of FW until the beginning of experiment on May 2, and then SW
temperature was 1–2 °C lower again for the first 3 weeks (Fig. 1).
Mean lengths of FW fry were significantly larger than SW fish on Day
14. Mean weights of FW fry were also larger than the SW fry on Day 14
(Fig. 2). Regression lines of logarithmic FL and BW of the FW fish
reveal breaks in the linearity on Day 28; the growth was significantly
higher in FW fry for the first 28 days; then the SW fry showed greater
growth afterward (Fig. 3).
