Today, we got the information from BANGKOK COLD STORAGE 2 about the
another damage of fan motor. By our coding, this recent two weeks, we have
changed and installed the new fans newly sent by GUENTNER to unit cooler no.
2-1 and 1-1. Now, this morning, we found that another fan motor got damaged already.
Here are the report of it.
1. Please check the attached photo Nov 2 2015 717am.
The ampere of unit cooler no.1-2 is going up to 4.25A already.
The standard value should be 2.7 to 2.8A. This is already abnormal.
According to the operator of customer, one fan DID NOT rotate from yesterday.
2. I checked the ampere for each fan unit at the unit cooler. As you know already,
one unit cooler consists three sets of fan motors, so I checked all.
And I found that one fan is operating by 2.6 to 2.8A per wire, which is abnormal conditions,
on the other hand, other fan is operating by 0.8 A per one wire which is standard condition.
3. To confirm what happened, I stopped the fan, go inside the room and rotate
fan by hand. It rotate anyway but not smooth, compared to other two fans.
4. After I go back to the machine room and start the fan motors. Soon after the start up,
the ampere of the fans became normal, but after 5 minutes, the ampere of the fans went
back to 4.25A. So I gave up to fix and took out the electrical wire of that problematic fan.
All of these conditions, we can easily confirm that the bearing of this fan got damaged already.
The reason is the same as you mentioned already. Grease issue. Because this fan is also now
equipped with sine filter already. So filter issue must be erased from the root cause.
GUENTNER insisted that point, but as long as the situation is like this, the filter issue is not
related to the root cause of this sounding and bearing damage issue.
I remind you so many times that we informed that we do speed control to this fan by inverter.
And we have followed your instructions to install the sine filters, but it looks like it did not work.
This conditions are really not good to all of us. And also whatever the conditions, you made us
wait for a long time already for the investigation and countermeasure.
At this moment, please follow my instructions to help ourselves.
1. Please send 3 more fans to our company. We need you to dispatch within 2 to 3 days.
2. We need your help to change all the fans with special grease as per your idea.
Of course, this cost should be all shouldered by your side, not by us and customer.
3. I need your official report from you within this week.
Our company will have the official customer audit on the date of 23rd of November, this month.
We have to make it clear this problem and make the report of countermeasure for this fan issue.
At least please follow item 1 indicated above. If you can send us the fan with special grease is
also acceptable. Again, we are not willing to pay any cost on that.
I need your comments as soon as possible for this issue, because I am so afraid that the another
fan got the bearing problem so soon. At lease I need fan to replace.
