Due to their high rejection, NTR-729HF, NTR-7250, and
ESNA3 were selected to investigate their utility for concentrating
sugars in liquid hydrolysate from dilute acid-pretreated rice straw.
The attractive characteristics of NTR-729HF, NTR-7250, and ESNA3
are due to their relatively low molecular weight cut-off (Weng
et al. 2009). The characteristics of NTR-729HF, NTR-7250, and
ESNA3 are affected by polyamide; however, characteristics of
NTR-7410, NTR-7430, NTR-7450, and NTR-7470pHT are affected
by sulfonated polyethersulfone. Such difference would result in
different molecular weight cut off.
