2.2.4. Bead wash-off of the dyed cotton component of the
polycotton blend
The cotton component of the polycotton fabric was dyed
using the method recounted in Section 2.2.2 (Fig. 6). At the end
of dyeing, the sample was removed from the dyebath, squeezed
to remove surplus dye liquor, rinsed in cold water for 5 min
(Fig. 6), squeezed once more and then subjected to the threestage
bead wash-off procedure shown in Fig. 9. At the end of
the bead wash-off, the sample was squeezed and allowed to dry
in the open air.
