We recommend then for teachers of English pronunciation or conversation
to leave out drills or practice for (f) in their classes and instead spend
more time on pronunciation practice for (v). Word-final (v) presents the
weakest point for students in this study with [v] typically being produced
less than 50% of the time and sometimes as low as 32.4% (See Table 9).
In pronunciation or conversation classes, much greater emphasis should
be placed on word-final (v).
