BTEX is an acronym for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and
xzylene. This group of VOCs is found in petroleum hydrocarbons,
such as petrol, and other common environmental contaminants.
Toluene is used as an indicator of VOCs in this research,
this is due to that it belongs to the concerned BTEX group of
VOCs and it has less toxicity than benzene and safer to be used
