C. militaris is one of the most well known medicinal
entomopathogenic fungi and as such has been widely used
for the treatment of various diseases. However, the pharmacological
and biochemical activities of C. militaris have
not been clearly elucidated. To identify the anti-inflammatory
effects of CMWE in traditional herbal medicine, the
effects of CMWE on the production of NO, TNF-α and
IL-6 in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells were investigated.
These results showed that CMWE inhibits the
production of major macrophage-derived inflammatory
mediators in a dose-dependent manner.
