Minimum energy consumption and maximum comfort – this was the guiding principle followed by the architects of Bünemann & Collegen from Hanover when they planned the conversion of an old seed store into a modern research and development centre.
The carbon-neutral energy supply is an important aspect of the redesigned “BIG” R&D building of KWS SAAT AG, Einbeck. The architects’ concept won the “Energieoptimiertes Bauen 2009” award of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
The production, administrative and creative areas are connected in an elegant manner. Transparent, open architecture and clear lines dominate the overall picture – which is ideally complemented by Atrio faucets from GROHE.
