Based on the STOP-Bang questionnaire, 34 patients (11.7%) had no risk and 257 (88%) were at risk for OSA; of the 257 subjects, 216 subjects (74.2%) had mild to moderate OSA risk, and 41(14%) subjects had a high risk for OSA (Table 2). All patients who were at risk for OSA were given results of the STOP-BANG questionnaire and a referral letter to be taken to their primary care physician for follow-up. Ninety-four (94) patients with TIA/stroke (32.3%) had an OSA screening questionnaire administered before this, and 197 (67.7%) did not.
