Drawings by non-SAIL students contain mathematics symbols such as those seen in Figure 3. In coding student-related features, the analysis focused on presence of students in the drawings. Drawings by SAIL students often featured group tasks(see Figure 1). The SAIL class room was often seen by the students as comprising group seating arrangement(see Figure 2) instead of the usual straight-row layout which tended to be so in a non-SAIL classroom(Figure 3).
