Villi in the duodenum, jejunum and ileum of birds fed the diets supplemented with increasing levels of garlic meal were found to be correspondingly longer (P*.*/). Feeding garlic meal significantly decreased epithelial thickness in different sections of the small intestine (P*.*/) and this reduction was more obvious in + and , dietary levels of garlic meal. The goblet cell numbers in the villi of duodenum, jejunum and ileum of birds fed the diets supplemented with more than *./ garlic meal were lower (P*.*/) than other treatments including control.
