1. Insure you have the latest fastboot environment and drivers installed for your OS of choice (Windows, Mac OSX, Linux). (For the purposes of this review I will be using instructions based on OS X Yosemite).

2. Download the latest fastboot ROM package for the Redmi 2 2014813 model from here: http://bigota.d.miui.com/V6.5.2.0.KHJCNCD/wt86047_images_V6.5.2.0.KHJCNCD_4.4_cn_1ad971ebc2.tgz

3. Download the latest Global ROM fastboot pacakage from here: http://bigota.d.miui.com/V6.5.2.0.KHJMICD/wt88047_global_images_V6.5.2.0.KHJMICD_4.4_global_d5cb5d8206.tgz

4. Extract both TAR files fully.

5. For Mac users you may need to manually edit the flash_all.sh shellscript. The fastboot commands are for Windows and are missing the ./ prefix. Apply this to each of the commands listed in the shellscript and save it.

6. Copy the modem file NON-HLOS.bin (located in the 'images' subfolder) from the 2014813 ROM.

7. Delete and replace the NON-HLOS.bin file from the Global ROM with the one you just copied from the 2014813 ROM.

8. Open up Terminal (or your relevant program) and navigate ('cd') to where your Global ROM was extracted.

9. Run the flash_all script. (On Mac its ./flash_all.sh)

10. Wait for the commands to run and for the device to reboot.

11. Set up the device.
