Introduction Grapes are grown in several climatic zones in New South Wales (NSW). The main areas producing wine and table grapes are the Murrumbidgee irrigation area, the Hunter Valley, the central rangelands of Mudgee, Orange and Cowra and the area encompassing Wagga Wagga, Young and Gundagai. Table grapes are also grown in Sydney's south-west and grapes for dried fruit are grown in the lower Murray irrigation area
