“Chris!” shouted Ellen, “For the last time – get out of our son’s body! Do you know what you’re doing to him?! It’s just – wrong! I want you out of there right now!”
“Gee, Mom,” said Chris, from inside his son’s body, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s me, Kevin. You know, your son. Maybe you should just calm down, Mom.”
“You are not Kevin! And don’t call me that!” said Ellen, “I know what you’re doing here, Chris. You found out that I was going to divorce you and thought that you could stick around using Kevin’s body. Well, that’s just sick! That’s our son!”
“And he turned out pretty good, didn’t he?” said Chris, looking down at his body and running his hands along Kevin’s tight, flat belly, “No more pot belly for me!”
“Stop it!” said Ellen, “Just stop it! And get out of his body before I –“
“Before you what?” said Chris, “Go and tell somebody that your husband used some magic spell to take over your son’s body? Yeah, go ahead and try that, Ellen. Sounds like a real good plan to me.”
“Somebody will believe me –“ said Ellen.
“Baby,” said Chris, caressing his wife’s cheek in a way that was totally inappropriate now that he was in his son’s body, “Nobody’s going to believe you. So, why don’t you just get used to me being Kevin now, huh? Speaking of which – I’m a teenage boy again, and I’m hungry! When’s dinner, Mom?”
“Chris,” said Ellen, “You can’t do this…”
“Pretty sure I can!” said Chris, “Anyways, if you’d let me finish getting dressed, I’m gonna go out with some of Kevin’s friends now. I’ve got access to all of his memories. Did you know that, sweetheart? So when I show up to ‘chill’ at the mall, none of his friend are gonna have any idea that anything’s up. Sound ‘cool,’ Mom?”
Chris finished putting on one of Kevin’s shirts and checked his reflection in the mirror. His teenage son’s face beamed back at him with a mischievous smile. Then he grabbed the keys to his son’s car and picked up his son’s wallet from the nightstand, moving about the room as though he knew exactly where everything was.
“Catch ya later, Mom!” he said, heading out the door, “Oh, and don’t wait up for me. I might be out a little late tonight!”
