Traditional fishers’ expectationsbefore fishing operationswere
coded andcategorizedfrom1to5.Codesalsoincludeinitialsof
village,dateand fishing operation(time)foreasyrecognition.Inthe
processofcategorization,Number5wasassignedfor fish species
caught exactlyaspertraditional fishers’ expectation,whileNumber
1 wasassignedforthe fish speciesthatwasnotexpectedby
traditional fishersatall.Number2,3and4wereassignedforspecies
slightlyexpected,speciesmediallyexpectedandspeciesexpectedin
theharvestattheshore,respectively.Thequantitiesofeachspecies
(kg) after fishing operationwerealsogiventhesamecode.Thesame
procedurewasrepeatedfor87 fishing operations.Accordingly,two
data files wereprepared;oneconsistedofcodesandspecieslistwith
fishers’ expectations,1–5, whilesecond file consistedofsamecodes

transformation(ln xþ1) for fishers’ expectationandweightofeach

carriedoutforlogtransformed fishers’ expectationsand fishers’
