I found this story interesting and surprising because it’s a very original story.
Indeed, there are lots of events that we can’t foresee, like the head of a fish found in Carl’s bed, it was very unexpected and that gives a lot of suspense. Unfortunately, the author often repeats the same things and it becomes a bit tiresome.
However, there is a change of narrator because it’s John who speaks at the beginning and at the end of the story. The end is also sad but it’s good because it changes from other stories, like those I read before.
Otherwise the reading is easy enough even for a level B1. At the beginning, I was a bit afraid I would not understand, but there are not a lot of differences between the levels A and B. There are only more pages and no pictures.
To conclude, I liked this book very much and I’m pleased to have chosen it. But I had to say that I didn’t have enough time and I had to sacrifice my weekend to read it.
