The objective of this project is to apply the pulling system to reduce waste that occurs during the production system. The information shows that the production system of automobile rear door mirror rail is controlled by custom or pushing production system. Therefore, a lot of time is consumed during the production and excessively inventory is produced both during and after the production process. The operation of this project is consists of examination of the waste in the production process by using the Material & Information Flow Chart (MIFC) to analyze the causes and search the solutions by using the Stagnation List, specify the solutions by the Kaizen List and write a MIFC diagram. The next step is arranging pull system by using Kamban system to control the inventory on both during and processed inventory. The result shows that the pulling system is able to decrease the production time from 44.8 days to 36 days or 19.6% of production time was reduced and the amount of the processed inventory is decrease from 4,268 pcs. to 1,215 pcs. or 71.6% of processed inventory were reduced.
