As a consequence of conceptual deficiency 3 (see “Introduction”), question b of the problem situations asked students to indicate
which laws could be used to tackle the problem. For this reason, in conceptual relevance, 2 points were scored when the students considered both laws (i.e. Faraday and Lorentz), 1 point if they considered one law, and 0 in the event of any type of answer that did not consider either law
