Airborne contaminations during building activities are linked
to increased levels of molds in the air [10,14]. These are
mainly contaminations that occur during construction work
or renovation, and we report here a case of airborne fungal
contamination that occurred during the move to a new
mycology laboratory. Indeed, the air sample taken during
period B (date of the move) showed dramatically increased
levels of fungi in rooms 1 and 2. This can be explained by the
movement of people into and out of the building throughout
the day, and also by the transportation of equipment and
