2.6. Statistical analysis
The results of AFs and OTA concentrations were statistically analyzed and presented as mean ± SD and coefficient of determination (R2) was determined by regression/correlation analysis using SPSS software (IBM, PASW Statistics 19, USA).
3. Results and discussion
3.1. Occurrence of AFs and OTA
The distribution of AFs and OTA contamination in chilli powder, crushed chilli and chilli sauce was presented in Table 2. The maximum mean concentration of AFs and OTA from open market (27.5 and 21.4 μg/kg, respectively) as well as from food restaurants (21.1 and 22.9 μg/kg, respectively) were found in chilli powder. The samples of chilli sauce from open markets and from food restaurants were found least contaminated with AFs and OTA as demonstrated in Table 2.
