A senior Democrat Party member has accused a Bangkok deputy governor of corruption and threatened to bring the matter to the National Anti-Corruption Commission.
Wilas Chanpithak, a former chairman of the House of Representatives corruption-prevention committee, said he learned of the alleged corruption via complaints filed by Bangkok Metropolitan Administration employees and the public.
He did not name or specify which one of the four BMA deputy governors was the subject of the complaints.
The BMA currently is run by a team of administrators led by ML Sukhumbhand Paribatra of the Democrat Party.
