1. I will be flying very early in the morning to Los Angeles and I’m packing tonight.
Would you mind checking for me these documents that Orca Bay will be reviewing, looking for anything related to this E coli situation?
From a quick glance it appears that NSF made a composite sample out of 5 lots and tested the composite. Orca Bay may not find a composite sample to be representative enough to take a chance on E coli.
Will SGS give a test report for each lot?
Can Mr. Lee persuade DoF to say which of the 5 lots was positive for E coli?
2. All processing plants now must have full records for traceability. Thank you for explaining to Pim and others that giving the wrong order number for a contaminated shipment will be a serious blow to customer confidence.
3. The restaurant chain Chipotle had to close 34 restaurants Oct 31 because a number of customers became sick from E coli contamination. After testing 100’s of samples, Chipotle never found the source of the contamination. They are sanitizing these restaurants and will reopen soon. Someone is lucky that Chipotle couldn’t find the guilty party.
