Central Italy between the Marche and Umbrua regions was struck by a series of major earthquakes in 26 and 30 October 2016. The quake measured 6.6 on the Richter scale in 30 October 2016 and It’s was the largest in Italy in 36 years. Geologist said the quakes were caused by movement of faults. Aftershocks were felt in Rome . Several buildings were badly destroyed but no serious injuries were reported
