The questionnaire, or data collection instrument, used by the entrepreneur should include questions specifically designed fulfill one or more of the objectives the entrepreneur listed earlier. Support in the design of questionnaires can often be attained through small-business development centers members of the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) or students in marketing research classes at a local college or university. Since the instrument is important in the research, it is recommended that entrepreneurs seek assistance if they have new experience in designing questionnaires.
