ou won't learn much about a person from reading a box of text. Conversation is ultimately the best way to get to know a person. But some basics about me:
I'm Jordan and I'm 21 years old, living in the suburbs of New Jersey in the United States. I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree at University of Princeton and was recently named to the Dean's List for my first semester. At the time of writing this, I'm on a temporary break from school due to financial and time conflictions, but I like to spend as much time sharpening my mind to help lessen the shock of returning to school.
I'm the farthest thing from an American patriot. I love my country and the opportunities that it offers, but I also feel that those opportunities are locked heavily behind The Almighty Dollar. "You have to spend money to make money" should replace "In God We Trust" on our currency. That being said, I hate politics and tend to avoid the topic during most conversations. My ultimate dream in life is to live happily and healthily without restraints and unreasonable stresses. We weren't built to chase zero on bank statements, working our fingers to the bone just to break even.
Requests
I have very few requests for messages. I joke around a lot and I'd like to talk to people who appreciate that and will contribute to it themselves. I want people to be themselves when they message me, be that a vulgarity-laced rant or a southern hospitality showcase. Be you, I'll be me.
Looking for anything, really. If you're visiting my profile just because I visited yours and didn't say anything, you should still feel free to send a message. Sometimes I just get distracted and end up closing out my windows without finalizing a message or making a note of the profile that I was looking at. I prefer receiving messages to wall comments, but if you decide to leave me a wall message or photo comment, I'll probably just respond in a message.
If anything in this profile made you smirk, smile, laugh, or think, let me know. Along with meeting new people, I'm also trying to use this site as a medium for practice writing to numerous demographics of people. I hope to someday make a living from my writing and any feedback or support would be greatly appreciated.
Hobbies & Interests
I enjoy writing, playing video games, watching TV and movies, relaxing. I'm not much into the "clubbing/raging" scene. I prefer a quiet night talking or just relaxing with people that I care about over a night of screaming drunken pickup lines in a stranger's ear that has more glitter speckled on her cheeks at the age of 21 than she did on arts and crafts day in preschool. I'd rather go to bed snuggled in blankets and pillows than being curled up with soiled pants in front of a dirty public toilet. That being said, a night out drinking and talking with friends isn't necessarily "above me", I go out from time to time. But at the end of the day, the best way to end an evening is curled up on the couch with someone that I feel a connection with.
I recently popped my travel cherry with a trip to China. It gave me an intense feeling of wanderlust that I still feel on a daily basis, so I can't wait to travel again sometime soon.
I'm also a pretty dedicated fan of Chicago's sports teams. I'm a diehard Cubs, Bears, and Bulls fan. I'll root for the Blackhawks in the playoffs but I'm not a hockey fan during the regular season. On the other side of the coin, I treat my precious Cubs like I would treat a younger sibling- I can talk all of the shit I want about them, but at the end of the day, they're MY millionaire pee-wee softball team. ('08 World Champs!)
