well” (reverse coded). These three items are related to sense of control, that is, situations beyond their expected
control increased their stress. The mean PSSS score was 44.47 (SD = 11.43). The top three supportive items were “someone helps prepare meals,” “someone helps take sick child to see doctor,” and “someone can be called for help anytime.” These three items are related to the practice of doing the month, such as eating special meals, taking care of the baby, and receiving support from family members.
