We need your office to review all the local charges to assess which can be consolidated as long as the basis for the split is immaterial or unnecessary for operational, regulatory, accounting, reporting or analysis purpose.
As Liner Div is on a drive to encompass all local charges into LMS to enable PIL (principal) to have better visibility of the local charges impact on many of those all-in accounts, there is a need for the new LMS system to manage a realistic pool of local charges as our experience has shown that very often similar charges are unnecessarily split into too many different charge codes which gives rise to higher administrative overheads to system, staff and processes.
We seek your cooperation to review and trim the list to the 'must-have' breakdowns and then we will further review the lists in totality with the feedback from all other ports/agents.
