Direct information obtained from interviews and surveys to the
actors of the beekeeping chain in Argentina reveals that the cluster
is characterized by a quasi artisanal production, low development
technology and small scale production based exclusively on the sale
of a commodity (bulk product without differentiation).
Based on the subdivision method, the CF of honey produced in
Argentina is 2.5 kg CO2e/kg honey (±0.17) where the extraction
process is responsible of the highest contribution to GHG emissions
(90.7%) compared to hive management and freight emissions. A
