These data suggested the co-existence of one procyanidin dimer
esterified at the upper unit and another, esterified at the terminal
units. Escribano-Bailo´n et al. (1992) identified these compounds
earlier as procyanidins [ECG-C] (B1-3-G) and [EC-ECG] (B2-30-G). In
addition, peak 27 also contained a signal at m/z 625.2, which
coincided with the pseudomolecular ion of an ellagitannin, a
hexahydroxydiphenoyl (HHDP) diglucoside found in the seeds of
Vitis rotundifolia
